Midorius was hatched in darkness—one of many wyrmlings trapped within the twisting nightmares of the Hollow. But unlike the others, he fled. Through instinct, fear, and sheer will, the little green dragon tore free of that cursed place and vanished into the deep valleys of the Eredel Duchy.

Freedom, however, was short-lived.

Something called to him in the wilds—soft at first, then overwhelming. When he followed the presence, he found not safety, but a cage of a different kind. Karthys, the veiled manipulator, held a newborn dragonling… the last of Midorius’s brood. And with that single fragile life, Karthys bound the juvenile dragon into obedience.

Now Midorius serves a master he fears almost as much as the Hollow itself, unaware of the greater scheme tightening around him. His power grows with each passing week, but so does the leash around his heart.

When the truth comes crashing down, Midorius may yet break again—this time in wrath.
