The Devouring Eye

Deep beneath the canals and coin-vaults of Tradver, something ancient and ravenous is watching.

The Devouring Eye is an aberrant horror that has made its lair within the forgotten Oldavori catacombs, drawn there by the endless flow of gold through Belfrie’s trade center. More than a monster, it is a living vault-raider — a many-tentacled nightmare with an unnatural hunger for jewels, relics, and precious metals.

For years, disappearances in the catacombs were dismissed as unlucky explorers losing their way. Smugglers, thieves, and thrill-seeking youths simply vanished into the dark. Now the truth has emerged: the Devouring Eye has been feeding and growing, and its raids on subterranean vaults have finally drawn the attention of the Belfrian Merchant League and other powerful factions.

But finding the creature is only the beginning.

The twisting tunnels of Tradver’s undercity are a maze of forgotten sanctums and collapsed passages, and the Devouring Eye moves through them like a ghost — striking, devouring, and retreating with stolen fortunes in its wake.

This miniature captures the creature mid-ambush, its writhing tentacles coiled around a crumbling stone pillar as its massive eye and maw lunge forward in hunger. With layered textures, spined tendrils, and a dramatic vertical composition, it makes a perfect centerpiece for climactic encounters and display painting alike.

Perfect for:
• Final dungeon bosses and epic underdark encounters
• Heist-gone-wrong adventures
• Aberrations, eldritch horrors, and city-below-the-city campaigns
• High-impact display or diorama builds

Features:

• Dynamic, vertical pose gripping ancient ruins
• High-detail sculpt ideal for washes, drybrushing, and OSL effects
